If you’re thinking about purchasing a new home, we recommend that you get a home inspection before you sign the papers. A professional inspection can give you peace of mind - and even could end up saving your thousands of dollars in the long run.
Find Hidden Problems
A home inspection can reveal larger issues in a home that are invisible to the untrained eye. Things like plumbing, electrical systems, and insulation are all hidden from us as we walk through a home. Your inspector will be able to dig into all of the home’s systems to provide you with a pro’s analysis of how well they’re working.
Sure, you’ll have to pay a small amount to have the inspection done. But how much will you save if the inspector uncovers a hidden leak, structural problems, or other major issues?
With a written report from your home inspector, you will have greater leverage when it comes time to negotiate the home’s sale price. Additionally, you can include language in your purchase agreement that allows you to back out of a deal if the home inspection finds issues.
Peace of Mind
With a professional home inspection, you’ll have the peace of mind that you did your due diligence before making the big purchase. It’s just good research. And with a purchase as important as a home, you’ll want to make sure that all of your bases are covered.
