Bloomington Home Inspector

Home Inspection Service - Bloomington, MN

We work throughout the Twin Cities metro area, and Bloomington is no exception. Minnesota's fourth-largest city lies south of Minneapolis and contains nearly 90,000 residents. The city has experienced a massive building boom between 1950, when the city had fewer than 10,000 residents, and 1970, when the population surpassed 80,000 for the first time.

Old timers might remember Met Stadium, which was built in the 1950s. This was the Minnesota Twins' first home park, and they played there until 1980, when they moved to downtown Minneapolis and the friendly confines of the Metrodome. When Met Stadium first opened, it was surrounded by farmland. Today that site is occupied by the Mall of America, although you can still find home plate in the mall, as well as a bleacher seat about 500 feet away where Twins great Harmon Killebrew once launched a home run.

The Mall of America is the city's biggest tourist attraction – not just in the city but in the entire state - but apart from the shopping center there are many other things to do there, too. Bloomington is home to many office buildings, hotels, and stores along the I-494 corridor. Off the freeway, there are ski jump areas, golf courses, hundreds of restaurants, and a large system of parks that covers nearly 9,000 acres. If you're looking to get out of town, the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport is in the southeast corner of the city.
